  Hi everyone! I built LiquidWall because macOS still doesn’t have a simple, lightweight alternative to Wallpaper Engine. I wanted an app that could set live video wallpapers, stay minimal, and not drain system resources. It started as a personal project — I just wanted my desktop to feel more alive. Then I added video support, then a photo gallery powered by Pixabay, and realized others might find it useful too. LiquidWall is intentionally minimal: no cluttered menus, no complicated settings — just live wallpapers that work. Right now I’m mainly looking for feedback: what features you’d like to see, what formats you use, and how I can make the experience better.   Would love to see per-monitor customization so I can set a calm static photo on one display and a live video on the other, since right now it looks like the same wallpaper gets mirrored across all my screens.

  How does the licensing work for Pixabay images used as wallpapers, are there any limits on resolution or how long you can keep a wallpaper running?
